Eve Levinsohn studied at the Ivor Kirsten Academy of Fashion where after
she was immediately offered a position as head designer at the Edcon Group. She
started off designing for Celrose the in-house manufacturing company for the then
Edgars Group but went on to design for many of the other labels within the group
such as Shelly Shops, Kelso, Merienne Hall, Penny C, Charter Club, Nite Out as well
as Sales House and Jet Stores.
Thereafter, she progressed into the exciting world of merchandising and travelled
the world buying samples and was part of a team in a department called "the
design centre" which specialised in trend and colour forecasting.
Her love of eveningwear and bling prompted Eve to start her own business when she
felt that she had achieved as much as she could with her current position. She went
on her own and produced a range which she sold to boutiques such as Dodo's and
Elle Boutique. Wedding gowns were a natural progression from this and Eve's
Bridalwear was born.
Business philosophy: Always be honest, friendly and kind. Listen to what
clients are saying and strive to give a hundred percent of herself.
Greatest Achievement: Building a significant business in the bridal
wear market and being featured on Top Billing several times.

Nonzwakazi Masina was born and bred at Mthatha in the Eastern Cape, South
Africa. Nzwaki, as she’s affectionately known, was always intrigued by the
glitz and glamour and how beautiful people looked on the TV screen and glossy fashion
magazines.
After her matric, Nzwaki studied Beauty Therapy and Fashion Design
at the Damelin College. Nzwaki’s first job as a cosmetologist saw her working
for a few top brands before joining a leading cosmetics company, the MAC Group.
She worked for the MAC Group for 3 and half years as manager in Eastgate, Johannesburg.
Over the years, Nzwaki has been a well sought after cosmetologist and has
since been involved with some of the top assignments in the Johannesburg beauty
calendar, including the Fashion Week events and offering cosmetology services to
some of the leading fashion magazines. Nzwaki’s expertise in cosmetology
saw her “beautify” one of the leading ladies in Africa and spouse to the former
President Nelson Mandela, Mrs. Graca Machel and her daughter, Josina.
Nzwaki and Eve’s Bridal Wear founder Eve Levinsohn business union
followed their meeting at a shoot for Top Billing shoot, a TV fashion magazine show
on SABC 3, and as they say the rest is history. “I fell in love with Eve's style
of bling wedding gowns”, says Nzwaki. She joined Eve's Bridalwear as a partner
in 2008. “It’s a dream come true to co-own the most glamorous one-stop bridal shop
in town I love being part of making Brides feel like Princesses on their Special
Day,” says Nzwaki.
Business Philosophy: Treat every client like they are Royalty. Purchasing
a wedding gown is the most important moment for the Bride’s special day. It can
be stressful, but thanks to Eve’s Bridalwear, we are there to ensure your selection
of that perfect gown is seamless. Wedding gowns are the highlights of most matrimonial
ceremonies, an item that you and your wellwishers will remember for many years to
come.
Greatest Achievement: We pride ourselves in our heritage of dressing celebrity
and ordinary brides alike, and stocking some of the leading, timeless brands in
the wedding gowns industry.
